Every day tech forward organisations around Australia and New Zealand process thousands of Snap Send Solve reports to benefit their communities. Here are three of our favourite initiatives:
For the past two years we have been working closely with the Victoria State Emergency Service and their trusted flood observers to assist in flood level reporting and emergency plans.
In this photo you can see the heights that the floods have reached in past decades and can imagine just how catastrophic these water levels can be.
The Christchurch City Council Graffiti Programme is a community initiative that aims to reduce vandalism by recruiting volunteers to report and clean graffiti.
Christchurch Tag Spotters are volunteers who use the Snap Send Solve app to report graffiti back to Council easily and efficiently. With an average of 250 reports per week, this programme helps to reduce the cost of graffiti vandalism removal to the ratepayer and improves perceptions of community safety.
The University of Melbourne students and staff use Snap Send Solve to report on-campus problems, in a four year partnership that has seen many different issues,
such as IT issues, damaged furniture, blocked toilets and broken bicycle racks reported through the app.
With tens of thousands of reports sent on campus so far, we’re proud to be helping Australia’s leading university keep it’s campuses across Victoria clean.
