Summer holiday-makers have left an unpleasant sight at Engadine. The Needles is a small swimming hole that is also popular with dog walkers, but this month it was also a dumping ground.
Philippe Brach takes regular strolls to the area with her dog, and was disgusted by what she saw. “It’s a beautiful spot on the Woronora river, but with the recent heatwave, many people go down there for a swim – mainly youngsters usually between 14-17 years old,” she said.
