As of October, e-scooter share hires are being legalised across Victoria, marking a significant step towards modern, eco-friendly transportation options.
However, this change has sparked debate. The surge in e-scooter usage has also led to a rise in e-scooter incidents, from creating accessibility hazards, blocking pedestrian pathways, and even ending up in waterways and roads.
We’ve seen a 145% rise in e-scooter related Snaps in Victoria alone, and an impressive 186% surge across Australia in the first half of 2024.
Our CEO, Danny Gorog, recently joined Tony Moclair on 3AW to discuss this exciting development and the notable uptick in e-scooter-related Snaps. According to Danny, "55% of the Snaps we received were for Lime scooters, compared to other brands like Neuron."
